Rooms

A newly converted 2 bedroomed apartment with a double and single bedroom, recently refurbished to a very good 4 star standard with heaps of natural light and a modern clean feel, sleeping up to 3 guests.

Main Bedroom

The main bedroom accommodates a large 5ft king size ‘zip and link’ bed (which can convert to create 2 singles if required), built in wardrobes and a wall mounted smart TV

Bathroom

The modern bathroom has recently been refitted with a new bath, shower over, toilet and wash hand basin, with all towelling provided.

Kitchen

The kitchen has also been completely refurbished and comes fitted with all essential mod cons, fully equipped for self-catering with an electric hob and oven, washing machine and fridge with freezer box, overlooked by a glass mezzanine work space area above.

Living room

The living room is open plan to the kitchen with a corner sofa, circular glass table and chairs, wall mounted Smart TV, Bluetooth Music Speaker, with a narrow spiral staircase leading up the mezzanine area above, overlooking the kitchen.

Mezzanine

A narrow spiral staircase leads from the longue/diner/kitchen up to a mezzanine area with glass looking down over the kitchen, accommodating a desk and chair, an easy lounge reading chair and a Velux roof light, allowing plenty of natural light.

2nd bedroom

Off the mezzanine area is the 2nd bedroom with a single bed, chest of drawers, hanging space and another Velux roof light for natural light.

Outdoor spaces

The apartment is within a safe and secure gated courtyard and benefits from secure bike storage if required, with one allocated parking space and plenty of non restricted, non-metered car parking close to hand. The apartment is a 5 -10 minute walk into town where at the end of the High Street on the harbour entrance you will find the ferry that will take you to Portsmouth and beyond.

Notes

Please note that the spiral staircase leading up to the mezzanine work space area and second bedroom is quite narrow and not really suited for plus sized people or those with restricted mobility.

Our advertised prices are calculated on the number of people requested and may go up or down if amended.

Some of our properties have age restrictions, such as where we feel it would not be suitable for younger all adult groups, such as within quiet residential areas where noise may be an issue. All bookings are subject to Owners’ Discretion. Our star system is based on current English standards

A child’s cot and highchair are available at no extra cost. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child’s bedding).

There is one allocated off road parking space for Number 2 as well as unrestricted parking to the rear of the property, plus a car park to the side.

Smoking Rules

For the comfort of others smoking is not permitted within our properties so please refrain from smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted in the outside areas only

Number 2 is within a gated courtyard and there is a secure bike shed for up to 2 bicycles.

Prior to your stay we are happy to help arrange any activities you may wish to organise and answer any questions regarding the local area or things to possibly do.

Waterside Location

This property is within a 10 minute walk into town where the marinas are located around the harbour mouth or you are a 4 minute drive from Stokes Bay beach looking out over The Solent towards the Isle of Wight.

Neighbours

All our properties are located within residential areas so we do have neighbours whom we need to consider. If you feel you could comfortably monitor noise levels (in particular out in the gardens and outside areas into the evenings) then we would love to have you stay and have had countless guests who have had a great time with us at our properties. If however you feel that it would not be possible to monitor noise levels, then we would have to recommend you consider something more rural, without neighbours.

The nearest train station to Number 2 is Portsmouth Harbour which is in Portsmouth, so you will need to get the short 4 minute ferry across to Gosport. The ferry sails every 5-15 minutes from Portsmouth Harbour station depending on the time of day with the apartment being a 3 minute drive (0.8 miles/1.2km) away.

The Gosport to Portsmouth Ferry is only a 3 minute drive (0.8 miles/1.2km) from the apartment with the Isle of Wight FastCat Ferry Terminal next to the train station to the right of where you disembark on the Portsmouth side. Portsmouth’s Brittany Ferry Terminal to Europe is an approx 21 min drive from the house (11.2 miles – 18km) and the Southampton Cruise Terminals are an approx 48 min drive (17.3 mile – 28km)

FAQs

Check in times are between 4 - 6pm (unless agreed otherwise) with checkout by 10am on day of departure. If an early check in or late departure time is required then we will do what we can to help, however if this is vital for your plans we recommend guests book the extra night.
Bedding, linen and bathroom towels are provided for the number of guests booked to stay. Additional bedding is available if required at the cost of £25 per set to include 1 medium sized bath towel. If additional towels over those provided are requested these can also be supplied at a cost of £1 per hand towel and £2 per medium sized bath towel. The above is part of our environmental and sustainability program, which is designed to reduce waste, with all our properties provided with washing machines for your use if required, plus you are welcome to bring additional bedding/towels if you wish.
Additional mid-term cleaning services are also available at the cost of £15 per hour, per cleaner, and you can request how long and how often you may possibly like one to attend. This can include a general clean of the kitchen, bathrooms and vacuuming and we would suggest a guide of 2 hours for this task. Please contact us if required.
We are understandably sensitive about what surfaces items such as balloons and banners are fixed or stuck to so would be happy to put these up for you to limit any possible damage, but would not wish to take on the responsibility of choosing and purchasing these items for you in case we did not get it quite right. However, if you wished to mail the items you would like us to put up for you please contact us at least 10 days prior to your arrival for the postal details and we will endeavour to have these put up where possible, in time for your arrival.
