The Solent

Hampshire enjoys the most southern coastline of the UK, opposite The Isle of Wight which is just over The Solent’s waters. Southampton is home to some of the worlds largest freight containers and luxurious cruise liners and Ocean Village is a bustling modern development surrounding a yacht-filled marina. Portsmouth is home the Navy’s warships and alongside the destroyers, frigates and aircraft carriers is the Historic Dockyard with Nelson’s HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and Henry the VIII’s flagship The Mary Rose, plus the wonderful Gunwharf Quays nestled alongside the mouth of the harbour.

The Solent is only 90 minutes from London and has over 5,000 licensed yachts and motorboats, plus three marinas with 1,400 berths between them. There are also sailing schools, yacht charters and sailing clubs that welcome novices and public slipways where you can launch your own boat.

Portsmouth Harbour

Most of our properties are currently based around Portsmouth Harbour which has more shipping movements than any other port in the UK and for over a century Gosport, on the other side of the harbour, has been the home of ocean racing. These include the great J-Class yachts and Alex Thomson’s world-beating Hugo Boss team and the harbour is now also home to Ben Ainslie’s School of Racing. Gosport boasts 24 miles of waterfront between Portsmouth and Southampton including three lovely beaches and a network of inlets and wetlands so it’s understandable why so many sailors from all over the world visit, whether that be for the extreme Clipper Round-the-World Race or quiet creek crawling.

Our Holiday Homes

Complete Holiday Homes offer selected properties that can comfortably accommodate groups from 2 to 20. We have superior quality 5ft king, double or single beds, all with crisply laundered linen and fresh clean towels. All of our properties are self-catering, with all essential mod-cons including washing machines and Wi-Fi as standard, plus some have the facility for hot tub hire, whereas others have a games room.

We have modern, Victorian and Georgian homes that will make you feel straight at home. Perfect for our needs

For us Waterfront Quay apartment was perfect for our needs - a yacht crew with the boat out of the water at Endeavour Quay which is approx 2 minutes away and couldn't be more convenient. Everyone we dealt with at the office, extending our stay, providing invoices etc, were great, even on a bank holiday

We have stayed at properties managed by Complete Holiday Homes many times, most recently at Waterfront Quay.

From the initial booking procedure, to the final timely return of the deposit, Ken and his team have been a delight to work with. They are organised and professional and their properties in Gosport are perfectly positioned for Endeavour Quay and the Marina. On the day of entry, someone is available to meet you and show you around the property, explaining how things work and hand over the keys. There is also a file in the property with local area knowledge and information which is very handy if you are new to the area. Waterfront Quay is a lovely, clean and well maintained two bedroomed, two bathroom apartment with a splendid view of the Spinnaker Tower, over the harbour. It is well equipped with a washing machine and all the cooking utensils one could need. We also found a supply of basics including fresh milk on arrival. The apartment is very quiet, warm, the beds are comfortable and there is an endless supply of hot water, which was very welcome after a long cold day in the boatyard. There is also fast internet and a very comfortable sofa for TV viewing. I have no hesitation in recommending Complete Holiday Homes and their properties in Gosport.

Grove Lodge is a lovely house, well situated in Gosport

Easy access to Haslar Harbour (we were here for sailing), but also walking distance to the Ferry and the town. The house was comfy and cosy with all the amenities that our group needed. Our group was only 6, so we had lots of room. We had a fantastic week here and are already booked to come back in September. Thank you for accommodating us, the house was perfect.

Thank you for our stay at The Georgian Apartment.

All in all its a great apartment, we were very comfortable and we enjoyed our time there. The location was great as it suited us for work being a short walk to Endeavour Quay Marina and is in such close proximity to the supermarket and shops. We would definitely highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

Great location, nice apartment

The location of Harbour View 4 was perfect for us, as we were working on the Clipper boats in the Gosport Marina and it took us less than five minutes to walk to the boats. The Gosport High Street is just around the corner. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bedrooms were simple but tastefully decorated with nice bed linen. The apartment is good for a group of friends sharing, as all the bedrooms have single beds if needed.

Great Location

Harbour View 2 + 4 apartments provided a great location for us to base our staff during our recent boat refit, and were well equipped for a longer period of stay.
