Lovely house with lots of space and character, great for a family celebration!

We had a very lovely stay at Bury Villa! Everyone thought the house was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The staff were very helpful and Ken was particularly understanding when our plans for Friday had to be changed due to illness, so the family were later arriving than hoped. We would all like to thank the property owner and office staff for a memorable weekend!

Relaxing weekend break at Bury Villa

We had such a lovely time staying at Bury Villa. It was exactly what we had hoped for, a relaxing weekend away from the city. From the first day, we were greeted by Ken who was very friendly and thorough with covering all the information regarding the property and surrounding area. The house was amazing! It had everything we needed. The garden and BBQ was great, (although the seating area would have been perfect with a parasol or large covering.) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely break at Bury Villa which was very comfortable and plenty of room for all with plentiful supplies of crockery and cutlery etc. The booking process was very easy and the owner helpful when we couldn’t get wi-fi to work (turned out it wasn’t switched on!). Thank you from all twelve of us for a lovely family break.

We all had an amazing stay at Bury Villa

The house was plenty big enough for all of us not to feel like we were on top of each other. The perfect space for us to celebrate my birthday. We found the kitchen was well stocked with enough equipment and we made lots of use of the garden, using the extensive patio area for the hot tub hired and BBQs in the evening. I found Chris from Yellow Duck Hot Tub hire very helpful and quick with his communication with myself, totally recommending the use of his company. The hot tub was all set up and almost ready to use upon my arrival like promised. We all enjoyed a lovely day at Southsea, crabbing in the lake, playing in the park and then on the pier. Also spent time at Gosport front playing crazy golf and playing in the park and splash park there. None of us wanted to leave and wished we could have stayed for longer. Family Celebration at Bury Villa

Even though the weather at the beginning of the week wasn’t what we wanted, we nevertheless had a great holiday, thanks. Bury Villa was better suited for our large family gathering than expected which was great and we were very pleased with the abundance of crockery etc. (Usually we find that there is hardly a glass to share between us!) All in all, we were very pleased with our first ever stay in Gosport and the property was excellent, along with all aspects of the arrangements and your communication.

Thank you for hosting us at Bury Villa

Our stay was fine and the Villa has plenty of facilities which makes it easy to please a large group. Preparing food, cooking and dining was again very easy as the kitchen was well stocked. The access to Gunwharf and the beaches was good. The house was generally very clean and the bedrooms were well made up. Meeting Ray on arrival was useful so we could run through the general layout and facilities.

Perfect property for a large celebration

We had a lovely stay at Bury Villa, the house was very clean, well equipped, spacious and inviting. Ken and the team were extremely friendly and helpful. Procedures were very straightforward, the whole booking process was simple to follow. We visited Stokes Bay Beach which was lovely with lots of activities to enjoy. Overall we had a wonderful stay with our extended family. I would highly recommend Complete Holiday Homes to friends.

Good holiday accommodation in great location

Went away with 9 friends (6 different households) and we had a really lovely week's holiday. We didn't use our cars at all as Bury Villa is within walking distance of the Gosport – Portsmouth ferry; some of our party did actually take the bus from the even closer bus stop. Once over in Portsmouth there is a huge amount of things to do. Some did the fantastic self-guided tour of the Victory, others the Mary Rose. The harbour boat tour is also worth doing as you see Portsmouth from the water side. We went on the foot ferry to Ryde on the Isle of Wight and then caught a bus to Shanklin and had a lovely day there. Some of us went on the bus to Chichester for the day and explored the cathedral and shopping centre and of course Portsmouth's Gun Wharf Quays with its outlet shops is a must and led to some of us doing a fair bit of our Christmas shopping. Of course a trip to Portsmouth isn’t complete without a trip up the Spinnaker Tower although we were disappointed to find that you can no longer currently have a coffee up there – something we had done in 2017. We all enjoyed the Sunday lunch at the Anglesey Hotel followed by a walk to Stokes Bay before returning to Bury Villa. The house was lovely and warm and generally well equipped for a group holiday although would have like more seating in the lounge. We made use of the tables and chairs in the garden which I suspect are much used for summer bookings. Our stay was most enjoyable and we were extremely lucky with the weather which I am sure contributed to our enjoyment.

Bury Villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bury Villa. Any queries prior to our stay were answered promptly by Complete Holiday Homes. We were also allowed to check in early on the day which was very much appreciated and the landlord was very helpful. The house is spacious, well equipped and comfortable and is located really close to local shops which is very convenient. There are also lovely walks to the beach, we enjoyed a walk to the marina and loved looking around the old naval yard. We had a very memorable weekend.

New Year at Bury Villa

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at Bury Villa over New Year. It was lovely turning up and having Christmas decorations still up and the dining table laid out in festive style. The newly installed kitchen was also a real bonus. The hot tub we hired through the recommended company was also ready and waiting for use on arrival.

A fabulous family house

I booked Bury Villa for four nights over my 50th birthday. We were a party of 15, (10 adults and 5 kids) and we had the most pleasurable and comfortable stay. The check in was very easy, and we were given plenty of information and advice for our stay. The rooms were immaculate, with plenty of storage, cosy seating, and the kitchen is well stocked for catering. The games room was a massive hit and we had some epic rounds of hide and seek! We also had a beautiful meal at the Anglesey Hotel if you are looking for somewhere to eat. We had a real ball and loved the house, it's perfect for adults and kids and none of us wanted to go home.

Wonderful property for large family get together.

What a wonderful property for a large family get together. Everything about the house was appreciated by our family, from the comfortable en-suite accommodation to the very spacious and very well equipped kitchen. Our grandchildren enjoyed the games area in the basement together with its own TV. Your online booking procedure together with your very efficient and friendly staff made things very easy. We chose Bury Villa from a multitude of other rental properties because of: 1) The position in Gosport, with its proximity to the ferry and railway stations. (One of our family had to go to work in London for two of the days). 2) The large area for off road parking. 3) The excellent description, photographs and floor plan for the property on your web site. 4) The visiting opportunities in and around Gosport and Portsmouth which were going to be perfect for our group. 5) The easy access to shops and supermarkets. Thank you again for facilitating an excellent week for our family to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday in style.

Family together for belated birthday

We have just had a fantastic family weekend at Bury Villa, everything was amazing. The house is spacious yet cosy, it has plenty of everything you need and is spotlessly kept. We were a group of nine adults and seven children (wonderful house for hide and seek) and everyone was delighted with their rooms and the garden was a lovely place to hang out. The booking process was efficient, all emails were promptly dealt with as was the arrival procedure. Ray the landlord was charming, we had a problem with the heating, a phone call to him and the issue was immediately dealt with. It is a beautiful place to spend a comfortable, relaxing holiday. “Thanks mum for a great weekend and finding such a lovely house for us” was my kids parting words.

We really enjoyed our 4 nights at Bury Villa

Very comfortable for our group of 10 adults and 5 children. Lovely clean well equipped spacious house and large sunny garden. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy time together. We enjoyed visiting Stokes Bay and walking along the Gosport waterfront. Children also enjoyed the playground in Walpole Park. Took us 2 years to get here but we'll worth the wait. Thank you for you flexibility and understanding in changing our dates more than once due to Covid restrictions.

Lovely stay at Bury Villa

We had a lovely stay at Bury Villa. We had a problem with one of the upstairs toilets, but we contacted the owner at the time to tell him about it, otherwise all was good and we'll certainly consider booking the venue again for another family get together.

We had a great stay at Bury Villa and would thoroughly recommend it to a large group

The fact that all bar one bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom made it feel very luxurious and made the stay a lot nicer for us all. The house is really well stocked, particularly the newly fitted kitchen, and there was plenty of space for us all to enjoy ourselves. We used a local beautician for some in-house beauty treatments (Linzi Carrington, we would highly recommend!), we hosted a cocktail making class, and some of us went to Stokes Bay to try out kayaking and paddle boarding with Stoke Watersports, all of which were great and we’d recommend.

We have just back from a great long weekend at Bury Villa in Gosport

The host (Ray) gave us a good tour of the house upon our arrival, which we were lucky enough to do earlier than originally scheduled. We were a group of 10 adults, 3 toddlers, 2 babies and 2 dogs and the was plenty of space in the house for everyone to be together or apart. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need to cater for large groups. The garden is under sold on the listing. A huge space for eating, rest and play. We didn't take up the option of the hot tub as we were blessed with good weather but it looked big, clean and in excellent condition. Fish pond out the front of the house entertained the kids, they loved feeding them. All in all a great weekend was had by all.

Bury Villa simply brilliant!

We had a fabulous stay at Bury Villa which did not disappoint in any way! It was the perfect venue for our special celebration affording all the comforts that we needed and more. All of our guests were so complimentary about the property and we had the best ever game of hide and seek according to my girls!!! The hosts we're accommodating and friendly and knowing they were only just down the road if we needed anything was incredibly reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all far and wide and look forward to having another opportunity to stay again. I spoke with the hosts once we had departed on the Sunday to inform that we had vacated and to give our thanks and feedback directly. Working with you all at Complete Accommodation was an absolute pleasure, making the whole process so simple. Your customer service was both attentive and timely without any fuss or requirement for chasing up. Just perfect!

Super stay at Bury Villa.

We had a super stay at Bury Villa over the weekend; it was just right for our family gathering, within walking distance of the wedding venue for those who chose to walk & the kiddies loved the 'secret' room in the cellar. Facilities were perfect for our needs. We had an issue with the heating & the front panel on the dishwasher on arrival and a further problem with the pool table over the weekend. However, the swiftness with which these were rectified is to be commended & didn't interfere with our stay at all. We're looking forward to our next stay in March.

The service we received was exceptional.

From the first enquiry through to the final day at Bury Villa, the service we received was exceptional. Ray the owner was very accommodating when it came to meeting my daughter and I in the summer to view the property, he was very understanding about allowing the motor home to be parked there and the change over of guests half way through. The house itself was amazing, very clean and tidy with the added touch of tea, coffee and fresh milk on arrival, along with the Christmas chocs and wine - we were very touched. The area itself is quiet and peaceful but within walking distance of the shops and the quay side. All in all a very lovely house which we hope to be able to book again in the future.

Great place for a family reunion.

Bury Villa was a great place for a family re-union. The grandchildren (and grown-ups) also enjoyed the hot-tub! We hope to come back in the future.

Bury Villa was fantastic

We would like to say that our stay at Bury Villa was fantastic and the accommodation is amazing. It was clean, well stocked and very spacious. Our contact with Anglesey Hotel was also positive and they dealt with all our needs very efficiently. We were pleasantly surprised by the Gosport area with lovely coast walks along the Southern beach and also around the marina. My parents also took the ferry across to Gunwharf and enjoyed a day in Portsmouth.

Bury Villa was great for our large family group

I would like to thank everyone for such an easy process in booking Bury Villa, we also booked the hot tub and the process was just as smooth. Bury Villa was a great property for our large family group. We all had en-suite bathrooms and the bedrooms were lovely, with quality bedding and towels and very comfortable beds. The house had plenty of room for everyone, having the games room for children and the hot tub were such a bonus and well used. I would certainly recommend this house to others; the staff have been very friendly and the owners allowed us to book in early meeting us at the property on time.

Bury Villa and the location was excellent

We thought Bury Villa was excellent. We appreciated the privacy offered and the quality of service you provided. The bedrooms were a good size for the families and options for various configurations based on children size and numbers - Very helpful. The lounge and dining area were the right size for all 18 of us and 3 small dogs. We never felt cramped, there was plenty of space. Large private area for parking which was ideal as we had several cars. The kitchen had everything we needed. Great games room and hot tub area and the garden was a really good size and safe for the kids to play in. The location of the property was excellent because it allowed us to walk to the shops, the harbour and the beach.

It was the perfect stay

It was the perfect stay and the perfect house. The photos didn’t do it justice and when everyone got there they thought it was perfect. We really enjoyed that the hot tub was inside as it meant we could use it despite the wet weather. The kitchen was so well stocked and the amount of fridge and freezer space was ideal! The living area was comfortable and large enough to seat 16 people for games etc. All the rooms were comfortable and exceptionally clean. I could go on! Once again thank you for being great hosts. We had the best weekend at Bury Villa.

Excellent, everything we needed

Bury Villa was excellent. It had everything we needed. Lovely spacious house with 7 en-suite bedrooms, very clean and in good order. There was a games room down in the basement that kept four teenage boys happy for much of the weekend, together with a hot tub we hired separately. The lounge was very comfortable and we loved sitting around the large dining table for our meals. The kitchen was very well equipped which was needed given how many there were of us. There was a large enclosed garden which was stunning and spacious, we weren't able to fully enjoy due to the time of year but our dog enjoyed time out there. The beach was less than 2 miles away with stunning views I even enjoyed getting up early to walk the dog. I would highly recommend this villa - thank you.

We loved our week at Bury Villa

We thought Bury Villa was a beautiful old house which is truly lovely, the garden is a delight and there is plenty of garden furniture. The bed linen and towels were just as described - clean, crisp and white. Although Bury Road is busy the situation for visiting many places is ideal. We loved Portsmouth Dockyard and all it had to offer, visiting three times during the week. Portchester Castle was in such a beautiful setting with a great history to hear about. We had a lunch and a dinner at The Creek which were both most enjoyable. When, on waking on our first morning, we discovered the sink in the utility room was blocked, it was quickly put right after a phone call to The Anglesey. The dining room accommodated all of us easily around the huge table and also made an ideal place to gather in the evenings for games. The birds singing outside all the time we were "at home" was delightful. We truly did have a lovely stay. Thank you for your attention.

Location was perfect

We had a fabulous break at Bury Villa. The villa was perfect, the kitchen had everything we needed, which from experience is not always the case!! Location was perfect and ample parking. We would definitely recommend!

Really impressed with everything

Bury Villa had every possible thing you could need, stair gates, highchairs and a brilliant kitchen. The house was huge and the children loved the games room in the cellar which they called their secret room. The garden was perfect for the dogs, completely fenced round so they couldn't get out. The booking process was easy, the cleanliness was excellent and we would book again. Really impressed with everything - loved it.
