The Cabin is a wonderful, open plan, green oak timber framed studio apartment sleeping 2 (+1), nestled within neatly landscaped gardens in the residential village of Hill Head, in the borough of Fareham, Hampshire. Here you are only a few minute’s walk from Hill Head beach overlooking The Solent towards The Isle of Wight, offering unspoilt panoramic views.

Rooms
The prices advertised on our website are for up to 2 guests within a superior quality king size ‘zip and link’ double bed (which can separate to create 2 singles if requested), made up with crisp white cotton linen and fresh white towels. The lounge area also has the possibility of accommodating 1 or 2 additional guests on the large corner sofa bed with additional guests over 2 being charged at a rate of £50 per week/part week per head, or we charge £25 per set of extra linen requested.
A child’s cot and highchair are also available at no extra cost. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child’s bedding).

Next to the sleeping area of The Cabin is a newly fitted shower room with corner electric shower, toilet and wash hand basin
Kitchen
The kitchen is open plan to the dining and lounge area area and is practically thought out and comes complete with all essential mod cons, plus to the side of the cabin is a separate utility room accommodating the washing machine, freezer and ample space to house bicycles and other outdoor items or be used as a separate office if you need to get a little work done.
Dining area
Adjacent to the kitchen is a large dining table that can comfortably seat 6 guests which can also covert to create a 7ft pool table, table tennis or air hockey table creating a super fun games area when not dining. In addition there is a smaller round bistro table for 2-4 guests to dine more intimately if you so wish.
Lounge area
The lounge area is next to the dining area and is home to a large corner sofa, which can convert to create a double fold out bed, if required and has a large flat screen TV, DVD player and Bluetooth Music Speaker.
Outdoor spaces
From both the living and bedroom areas are large patio doors leading onto a decking area that runs the full width of The Cabin where you relax on the sun loungers or dine ‘al fresco’ during the warmer months. These look out over the lawned garden with mature borders, plus there is a BBQ area and an area to hire in a hot tub if you desire. You can also hire kayaks and paddleboards along the beach to gain access onto The Solent’s waters.
Some of our properties have age restrictions, such as where we feel it would not be suitable for younger all adult groups, such as within quiet residential areas where noise may be an issue.

Located within 20 meters of The Cabin itself is ‘The Holistic Cabin’, run by the landlady Anna.
Here if you so wish you can treat yourself to a hot stone massage/reflexology and a number of other luxurious holistic treatments, only a short walk away from your accommodation.
These can be additionally booked by request if you wish to treat yourself or a loved one who is staying.

There is off road parking for 1 or 2 vehicles to the front driveway and unrestricted and unmetered roadside parking is available.
Smoking Rules
For the comfort of others smoking is not permitted within our properties so please refrain from smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted in the outside areas only.

Hot Tub Facility
If desired you can hire in a Hot Tub from our hot tub suppliers Yellow Duck Tub Hire, who are BISHTA registered and certified. (Conditions apply-please contact us for further details).
Bicycles & Bicycle Storage
If required the separate utility room can securely accommodate a couple of bicycles providing due care is taken.

Prior to your stay we are happy to help arrange any activities you may wish to organise and answer any questions regarding the local area or things to possibly do.
Games Room & Games
The dining table within the main dining area can convert to create a 7ft pool table, table tennis or air hockey table, creating a super fun games area when not dining.
Waterside Location
The Cabin is an approximate 5 minute walk from Hill Head beach looking out over The Solent towards the Isle of Wight or you are an approximate 15 minute drive into Gosport where you have the marinas located around the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour.

Barbeques
There is a gas BBQ at the property with 2 gas bottles, just in case one runs out half way through cooking your sausages 😉
Neighbours
All our properties are located within residential areas so we do have neighbours whom we need to consider. If you feel you could comfortably monitor noise levels (in particular out in the gardens and outside areas into the evenings) then we would love to have you stay and have had countless guests who have had a great time with us at our properties. If however you feel that it would not be possible to monitor noise levels, then we would have to recommend you consider something more rural, without neighbours.

The nearest train station to The Cabin is Fareham Train Station which is approximately 3.8 miles / 6.1 km (9 minute) drive.
Alternatively you can get the train to Portsmouth Harbour which is in Portsmouth, so you will need to get the short 4 minute ferry across to Gosport. The ferry sails every 5-15 minutes from Portsmouth Harbour station depending on the time of day.

If arriving in the UK, the closest international airports are Southampton (20 miles/32 km – a 25 min drive), London Heathrow (72 miles/116 km – a 1.2 hour drive) or London Gatwick (84 miles/135 km – a 1.4 hour drive).

There are a few convenience stores nearby, a One-Stop in Crofton Lane (10 min walk/1 min drive) and a Co-Op and Iceland in Stubbington Village (a 20 min walk/2 min drive)
Eating & Drinking
The nearest pubs with restaurants are The Osborne View (a 6 min walk) and The Crofton (an 8 min walk) and then there are a few more pubs and eateries within Stubbington Village (a 20 min walk/2 min drive).
Walking, Running & Cycling

The hosts were such lovely welcoming people who couldn't do enough to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The Cabin itself is fitted to a very high standard with everything you need whilst away from home is provided. It's a lovely neighbourhood and you will have a restful and peaceful stay. I would definitely stay here again and want to thank Chris and Anna for making my short stay a 5 star experience. The Cabin is simply fantastic.

The Cabin is so cosy and we really felt like we were on holiday.
We had an amazing stay here. We were greeted by our host Chris, who was really friendly and helpful. The cabin is truly gorgeous and spacious, the decking is a lovely sun trap, we had everything we needed already there for us, including a welcome chocolate cake! The hot tub was ready and waiting so we could get straight in (which we totally did and then opened the pink fizz to mark the start of our girlie holiday.) The beach is just down the road and there are plenty of restaurants that deliver to the property. We didn’t venture out as I was recuperating with long Covid but we had an amazing, relaxing time just being in the cabin. There is also lots to do if you do want to venture out so we will definitely do that when we return for another stay! Chris was just a text away if we needed anything and was always willing to help. We totally recommend this place and can’t wait to stay again Thank you so much for having us

Lovely Little Cabin
Lovely little cabin in owners back garden (separated by fence). Self contained with everything we needed, including a fantastic games table to keep my 13 year old happy. Friendly and helpful owners.

Peaceful, private and a suntrap
We wanted to give it nil point, so that it won't be fully booked next occasion! Fantastic place to stay. A little piece of paradise. Peaceful, private and a suntrap. A little retreat. The hosts, Anne and Chris are very helpful and friendly. We couldn't have asked for better. Anne is a therapist, so we indulged in facials, and hot stone massages. WOW. All organic vegan products too!! The living space is bright and airy, well appointed kitchen. Extremely clean. We had great fun playing pool and air hockey in the evening. There's also a smart TV, which we never bothered turning on. And a lovely evening was spent around the firepit, and indulging in breakfast and evening meals alfresco. Thank you very much Anne and Chris for your kind hospitality. We will be back.

Perfect little minimoon
We choose this destination as our little minimoon stay after just getting married and it was perfect. So chilled, just what we needed after such a busy time! Right by the beach! Chris and Anna are both very friendly and helpful, they helped us with recommending places. Defo want to go back again!

Terrific accommodation
We had a fantastic stay at The Cabin; Chris and Anna are wonderful hosts, it was lovely to meet them. Chris was extremely helpful, especially when offering unprompted suggestions for alternative activities when our plans were affected by extreme weather on the Saturday. The Cabin itself is terrific accommodation, everything was clean, well equipped and presented very well indeed. The Cabin sits in its own private area and the decking/garden are perfect for relaxing in the day or evening. We enjoyed the pool table for Dad and son competition! The additional facilities in the outbuilding proved very useful when needing to dry out our waterproofs (portable heater) but I noted there were other useful facilities at our disposal too should we have needed them. The Cabin is located well for exploring the area to the East and West and of course the Isle of Wight.
