Rooms

Lovingly named after a nearby field Whitedown is a one bedroom self-contained cottage in Newton Valence, Hampshire close to farmland and fields and the beautiful South Downs National Park, among a cluster of cosy, purpose built holiday cottages on the Inadown Estate.

The ground floor is open plan to the lounge, dining area and kitchen with large sliding doors leading out to the shared external patio area.

On the first floor you have a twin bedroom (with the beds being able to be configured as a double by pushing the beds together, if requested), plus an en-suite bathroom

This cottage can also possibly be rented together with it’s adjoining cottage, Pleasure Row, accessed through inter-connecting fire doors to create a larger 4 bedroom cottage, sleeping up to 8 – please contact us to book this configuration

This property is pet friendly for up to 2 well behaved small to medium sized four legged friends and comes with complimentary super-fast fibre broadband Wi-Fi at 300 mbps for your work or social needs, complete with all essential mod cons for self catering.

Child cots and highchairs are also available at no extra cost. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child’s bedding).

Some of our properties have age restrictions, such as where we feel it would not be suitable for younger all adult groups, such as within quiet residential areas where noise may be an issue.

For your comfort

Linen & Towels

All bedding and towelling is provided and a complimentary linen and towel change is carried out for stays of 10 nights and over, with a mid term maid cleaning service available on request. Please select here for a complete list of linens and towels supplied.

For Pets

We warmly welcome up to 2 small to medium sized well behaved four legged friends at Whitedown at an additional cost of £25 each per dog, per week/part week. (However, to be fair to our neighbours no continuous barkers please).

For Children

One child cot and highchair are available at no extra cost, plus Whitedown also has the option of fitting child gates top and bottom of the stairs. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child’s bedding).

Smoking Rules

For the comfort of others smoking is not permitted within our properties so please refrain from smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted within the outside communal patio area only.

Neighbours

All our properties are located within residential areas so we do have neighbours whom we need to consider. If you feel you could comfortably monitor noise levels (in particular out in the gardens and outside areas into the evenings) then we would love to have you stay and have had countless gatherings who have had a great time with us at our properties. If however you feel that it would not be possible to monitor noise levels, then we would have to recommend you consider something without neighbours.

FAQs

Check in times are between 4 - 6pm (unless agreed otherwise) with checkout by 10am on day of departure. If an early check in or late departure time is required then we will do what we can to help, however if this is vital for your plans we recommend guests book the extra night.
Bedding, linen and bathroom towels are provided for the number of guests booked to stay with a complimentary linen and towel change carried out for stays of 10 nights and over. Additional bedding is available if required at the cost of £25 per set to include 2 medium sized bath towels. If additional towels over those provided are requested these can also be supplied at a cost of £1 per hand towel and £2 per medium sized bath towel. The above is part of our environmental and sustainability program, which is designed to reduce waste, with all our properties provided with washing machines for your use if required, plus you are welcome to bring additional bedding/towels if you wish. An additional mid term maid cleaning service is also available and please contact us if required.
